When You're Feeling Negative...

...What do you do to feel better? Do you meditate? Draw? Sing? Take a walk?

How do you change your mindset when you feel really down?

C'monn lurkers...I know you're out there! Let's hear your techniques for stepping into a positive attitude from a dark cloud of negativity! Your responses may help a lot of other people who come to read and share, too! ^_^ Support!

I just draw, and if I don't feel like drawing, I listen to some instrumental music, it always helps... that or I read design books/mags.

Games. Drawing I do sometimes but its frustrating when i'm not too good so games. I know I kickass at games. Something I can do better than most people.

I do something to take my mind off of things for awhile....and I mean everything.

Usually that means playing videogames, which I get very absorbed into, watching a movie (especially at the theatre, no distractions) or indulging in a hobby.

When the world looks ugly, you partake in something that doesn't involve the world ;) that's my philosophy.
I... don't know. I haven't been able to do that lately. I just let time pass... Weeks. Months.
And I hate it. I HATE IT.

Dammit, now I feel bad. :(

When I am blue, I reflect. I also like to listen to music and dance.

When I reflect, I think of other low times, and what I did to pull myself out of it. Over the years, I have taken these memories, and created a sort of 'hope chest'. Basically these memories/stories give me hope, and inspire me to look within so that I can pull myself up.

I am also brutally honest with myself. I try not to put the blame on others when it comes to my moods. By telling myself I am in control of every choice I make, whether it's a good choice or not, I own my path. I noticed that I feel more blue when I don't feel I can make a difference, because I have given so much power to others. Power over even my failures and misjudgments makes me look deeper for answers.
